What Is Proposition 65?
California's Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) maintains a list of chemicals subject to these warnings. Cannabis smoke and certain cannabis-derived compounds are included on this list.
Which Products Are Affected?
This warning applies to all Sundaze smoked and combustible products, including but not limited to:
- Hash hole pre-rolls
- Flower (3.5G jars and other formats)
- Any product intended for smoking or combustion
How to Reduce Exposure
You can reduce your exposure to chemicals from cannabis smoke by:
- Avoiding or limiting use of smoked cannabis products
- Ensuring adequate ventilation when using combustible products
- Consulting a healthcare professional about alternative consumption methods
Who Should Exercise Extra Caution?
California residents who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are nursing should exercise particular caution given the reproductive harm warnings associated with certain cannabis-derived compounds. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified healthcare professional before use.
